Poultry Netting Lamp Shade

Ya know what?  Donna, from Funky Junk Interiors stopped by my blog last week and took a look and my poultry netting valance.  (She really did, I wouldn't make up something like that). She threw out a simple idea.....LAMPSHADE.  A light bulb went off in my head and I couldn't sleep until I put one together.  

Monkeyin' Around

This is a completely random post.  It has nothing to do with fall decor, there is no burlap and you won't even find a recipe. You are getting a bit of the "Olio".  Sometimes you've just got to take a break and do something different.

A least that's what some of the guys from my office thought last Friday when they took off for a mountain bike ride.  I work at family owned company (I'm an honorary adoptee) with a bunch of brothers that are always up to something.  The little brother, we call him N8, decided to literally monkey around.


 


What's there to say after that??  

I know, I should really get back to the serious work of blogging, I've got a follow-up project to my poultry netting valance in the works.

But today.....I just felt like monkeyin' around.

Tea Dyed Chicken Wire Valance

Sometimes having a messy craft room can create a happy accident.  Like a few weeks ago when a piece of chicken wire I'd left on the floor got all tangled up with some old gauzy drapery material.

Is it Really Labor Day?

I'm all but certain this never happens at your house, but it seems to catch me every time.  It usually happens when I have some special guests coming for dinner.  I've worked hard all day but there are always just a few things I don't quite get to.
